Last Day :(

Today was my last day in Barcelona. I cant believe it has already been a year! I had an amazing experience in Spain and hope to come back soon. For my last night I went out to the city and had a blast! I went to many different parties and different restaurants. The next day I packed my bags and went in to town and back to the beach to say good bye. I said a farewell to all of my new friends and all of the wonderful people I met in this "one of a kind" city. I got into a taxi and drove off to the airport. I got on my plane at around 5:00 and had another 15 hour flight back to LAX. I arrived in LA around 9:00 in the morning and got on another plane back to Boston. My family picked me up and we had a wonderful reunion. I missed my family so much and am so glad to see them! I gave everyone their presents and they all loved them! I was so tiered so when I got home I went strait to bed.

Day 4: The Beach

Today I was in the mood to just relax on a beautiful day. I went to the beach and soaked in the sun and took a dip in the Mediterranean sea! The water was as blue as the sky above it! I went scuba diving and saw all sorts of fish and different types of coral! The sand was as white as snow and felt great on my feet. I got a beautiful tan from the amazing sun (just kidding I don't tan!). I sat in the sand for hours, and soaked in the water for ever! The people were so kind and made the beach that much more enjoyable! When I got back to my hotel I felt great so why not make it better? I decided to go to the hotel spa and make my day even more fantastic! Beach and the spa, what could be better?

Day 3: Soccer Game

Today I got to go to a FC Barcelona soccer game! I was star struck when I got to see Messi play "football" live! The game was against another Spanish team called Real Betis. I was on my toes the entire time. The stadium roared with fans from ages seven to seventy. At half time Betis was up by two but then Messi had a header and Aregall had a penalty kick and tied the game. Finally in the end FC Barcelona won! It was very exiting to be a part of. Another solid day for Natalee!

Day 2: History

After my wonderful nights sleep I woke up and had an amazing classic Spain breakfast. I waited out side of my hotel for the bus to got on some historical sight seeing. The bus soon arrived and to my surprise there were many Americans on the trip. Our first stop was The Gothic Quarter, the centre of the old city of Barcelona. This was my favorite part of my tour, walking down the cobble stone streets was amazing! Next we went and saw the Barcelona Cathedral, A gothic cathedral from the 13th-15th centuries. We then went on to the Sagrada Familia, a large Roman Catholic church. It was amazing! We saw many more sights today but these were my favorite. Today was fantastic and I can't wait until tomorrow!

Day 1: The City

I woke up and couldn't believe I was actually in Spain! For breakfast I want to the cutest little bistro down the street from my hotel called Casa Defin. They had some of the best coffee I have ever had! After beakfast I walk around the city and the many markets it had. Mercadillo de la Plaça de Sant Josep, an art market that I walked past had some of the most beautiful paintings and sculptings I have ever seen! I bought a painting of a majestic ocean veiw for my mother's house abck in America. For the rest of the day I just got to know the city! Apparently not well enough because I got LOST! Luckily a nice spanish man helped me find my way back to my hotel. I had a solid first day in Spain.
